A fine example of a late 17thc Oak Wainscot Armchair in totally original condition, it has a fine natural colour, and has a plain top rail with two large carved floral back panels....the shaped arms are supported by bobbin turned uprights, which is also reflected on the turning of the front legs, with original toes ... made from around 1660-80 ....the shaped pointed finials confirm it is from Northern England...Cheshire or Lancashire......a very beautiful early oak chair in excellent original condition.
