A charming example of a silver mounted aide memoire from the mid Victorian era. This lovely piece has a sliding mother--of-pearl back and front cover, with exquisite carned floral detail. The mount is unmarked silver with engraved patterns and a catch. Inside the leaves are bone and marked with days of the week. Sunday is excluded as it was a day of rest.
