This fine early Chamberlain''s Worcester sucrier and cover, dating from circa 1810–1815, is a remarkable example of the high Regency period and survives in excellent condition.
Its elegant London boat shaped form is both refined and highly decorative. The surface is richly embellished with intricate vermicelli gilding, complemented by finely executed boarders and a continuous gilt pattern, creating a striking visual effect. Twin scroll handles enhance its graceful silhouette, while the oval finial provides an elegant means of lifting the cover.
The underside of the cover bears the red Chamberlain''s Worcester mark, confirming its manufacture.
