Salisbury Antiques Centre has dated this Victorian Walnut Childs Chair to the 1860s.
The tall back features matching barley twist uprights, turned finials and a finely carved scroll and leaf cresting above a shaped upholstered back panel.

The chair has been newly upholstered in a soft green woven fabric with complementary braid edging to both the back and generously proportioned stuff-over seat. The rich walnut displays a lovely warm colour and mellow patina, enhancing its decorative appeal.

A delightful and unusual Victorian child's chair, ideal as a decorative piece for a nursery, bedroom, hallway or country house interior, and equally appealing to collectors of period children's furniture.
