An Unusual 19thc Brass Student S Lamp Complete with Implements

Description

A rare unusual tall 19thc student s oil lamp dating from around 1880 and complete with hanging implements. Note the cross in its top. Possibly a religious connection.

Originally it would have been oil/ paraffin lit but now converted to electricity. It will be fully pat tested before delivery.

It measures 54cms h and 15cms w

Even better it was retailed by norman.adams antiques ltd london hans rd sw3 in 1964. A description supplied by a major london auction house.they closed in 1979 on the death of mr adams jun.

They were probably in the top 5 antiques dealers in the UK at that time.

The tin plate implements are a bucket. Pincers and a pen
