ABOUT
Henri Godet (French 1863 ~ 1937) was born in Paris on 5 March 1863 and died in Vincennes in 1937.
His subjects often included allegorical figures, portraits, and genre scenes, rendered with careful attention to anatomy, texture, and balanced composition.Though not as widely documented as some of his contemporaries, his bronzes were appreciated for their craftsmanship and elegance, appealing to collectors and patrons of decorative and fine art. He was known for his popular busts of women decorated with flowers. Godet exhibited regularly at the Salons from 1883 to 1935
