Rare Antique 1903 Silver Cauldron Pendant Charm

Description

This cute little cauldron charm (or pendant) dates from 1903, the very beginning of the Edwardian period. It's carved in a green hardstone believed to be serpentine and adorned with a sterling silver handle and three little feet.

SIZE: Approximately 2.5 x 1.2cm.

WEIGHT: 2.8g.

MATERIALS: 925 Sterling silver, green hardstone - likely serpentine.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: Hallmarked on the handle for sterling silver 1903. Also stamped with the sponsor's mark HG&S, likely Henry Griffin & Sons.

CONDITION: In very good vintage condition, there are some tiny areas of chipping around the holes but these are likely to have caused when the silver fittings were originally inserted.

ERA: 1903.
