Brief Description:
This is a very fine quality, original, early 19th-century hand-coloured Mezzotint Oval Miniature Portrait depicting Princess Charlotte Augusta of Wales dressed in her official portraiture attire.
Note: This is one of a matching pair of historical portraits that we are selling individually - please see our other listings.
The piece dates to circa 1840-1850, after the original by George Dawe, RA, British (1781-1829).
The piece is mounted within the original oval giltwood and glazed frame.
There is a very old label attached verso with some inscription that is hard to make out.
