A Really Splendid Antique Edwardian Claret Jug formed in clear glass with a sterling silver hinged lid, spout and handle. The silhouette is tall and elegant, with a gently waisted body. The silver mount has a clean, architectural handle with squared lines, giving the piece a confident late Edwardian character. Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1910.
* While traditionally used for claret, it would also serve attractively for water, cordial, or as a distinctive bar piece for mixed drinks.
