Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Stuart period pewter candlesticks were produced in England during the seventeenth century, typically characterised by turned baluster stems, broad drip-pan bases, and heavy pewter alloy construction.

These candlesticks were traditionally cast in bronze or iron moulds using a tin-based pewter alloy, after which the sections were soldered together and finished on a lathe to create smooth turned profiles.

Authentic pieces generally display touchmarks or maker stamps near the base or rim, exhibit soft surface wear with dark oxidisation, and feature distinct construction seams or lathe turning marks.

An antique pewter candlestick works well placed individually or in asymmetric pairings on a fireplace mantelpiece, dining table centre, or side console to introduce dark metal tones and historical texture.

Pewter should be dusted regularly with a soft cloth and cleaned gently using mild soap and warm water, avoiding abrasive polishes that strip the natural aged surface patina.
