A French decorative 'Picture Frame' wall clock. An ebonised case with an opening glass front from the base. Brass inlays to the case inner corners with red, green and white veneers. A gilded dial surround to the glass and painted dial signed 'Martin Baskett & Cie Paris'. Decorative blued steel hands. Circa 1860.

An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a gong signed by the maker.
