Description

Early 19th century dutch inlaid oak writing slope circa 1800.

Good quality dutch writing slope presented in original condition, comprising of 2 parts.

Top section made in oak with inlay to the sides, front and fall.  hinged lid opens to reveal a fully fitted interior of inlaid drawers which look like the day they were made due to not being exposed to daylight.  2 drawers either side of a lockable central tabernacle, which contains a further 2 drawers.  drawer to the base of the same manor.   raised on 4 turned legs united by a shaped stretcher.

Obvious marks/staining and old repairs to woodwork.  structurally strong and stands true, fine quality occasional piece ready for the home.
