Antique Victorian Pietra Dura Bracelet In 18ct Gold

An exceptionally beautiful pietra dura bracelet with 6 oval plaques in excellent condition, the frame and links are in 18ct gold, the backplate metal. The plaques are in the Florentine tradition and brought home as a souvenir from ‘The Grand Tour’ and turned into a piece of jewellery. The basic stone is marble inlaid with gemstones like agate, coral, jasper, parsing stone, for instance. The 6 plaques are all different, featuring floral motifs.
 
It has a slide clasp and safety chain.
