A dognose spoon, also referred to as a wavy-end spoon, is a style of flatware popular in Britain and Western Europe from approximately 1690 to 1715, spanning the late William and Mary to early Queen Anne periods.

Early pewter spoons were traditionally cast as a single piece or in parts using multi-piece bronze, brass, or iron moulds, after which the surface was hand-scraped and burnished.

Authentic pieces from this period generally feature a flattened stem terminal with a characteristic notched end, an oval bowl, and often a raised rat-tail ridge supporting the back of the bowl.

Antique pewter flatware can be displayed flat on timber sideboards, arranged inside glazed cabinet displays, or grouped in shallow stone or wooden bowls to add textural contrast.
