Vintage 0.67 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, Circa 1935

1920 - 1940
Description

A wonderful Art Deco engagement ring. The old European cut diamond in the centre is secured within a four-claw square collet, framed by ornate shoulders set with six (three each side) eight-cut diamonds, to a slender D-shaped platinum shank.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from WGI.

Cut:  Old European cut in the centre. Eight-cuts in the shoulders.

Colour:  The centre is H. The smaller diamonds range between G and H.

Clarity:  The centre is SI2. The smaller diamonds range from SI1 to SI2.

Carat:  The centre is 0.67 carat, with a further approximate 0.10 carat in the shoulders.

Circa:  1935.

Size:  J (UK) or 4 5/8 (US). Free sizing available.

Measurements:  The diamond is approximately 5.40 x 5.53mm. Sits 5.4mm from the finger.

Weight:  2.80 grams.

Metal:  Stamped PLAT - indicating platinum - and tested with a Niton DXL Precious Metal Analyzer to confirm.
