Scottish 19th century burr walnut revolving book stand dating from around 1870s . With a round top with ebonised edge the a line inlay with burr walnut centre. It has a brass swing out candle holder. There are four book stand shelves with spindle gallery sides that revolve. the base has a turned pillar with four platform feet. Makers label for JOHN TAYLOR, Cabinet makers , EDINBURGH.
