A 19th Century Anglo Indian Teak Campaign Trunk Blanket Box 77cm, Bronze Handles.

An impressive Anglo Indian teak campaign trunk with hand forged bronze carrying handles and other bold brass ironmongery. A well constructed trunk or blanket box with a single lid top, operated by pierced, hand forged strap hinges. A robust storage box in original condition and superb dry patination to the surface, a striking thing.

A versatile antique box, blanket box, document storage, boot room back door etc.., decorated with bold button studs and heavy brass escutcheon, original lock but no key. The lid closes firmly with a satisfying clunk in place, a fine furniture piece.
