S and S Timms Antiques Ltd has dated these Regency Rosewood Quartetto Tables to the 19th Century.
Their ability to be separated and used individually around a room, before then neatly slotting back together when not required, means that they work exceptionally well within both traditional and contemporary interiors alike.

This particular example is an especially elegant and superior quality set. Constructed from beautifully figured rosewood timbers throughout, the tops possess exceptionally well chosen veneers with striking grain patterns and superb colour, all further enhanced by the refined brass line stringing which frames each top beautifully. The overall proportions are particularly pleasing, with the tall slender turned supports and elegant feet giving the whole set a wonderfully light and sophisticated appearance.

One of the aspects which we especially admire about this nest is the clean and restrained nature of the design. Unlike many later examples which can appear heavy or cumbersome, these possess exactly the sort of understated elegance associated with the finest Regency furniture. They are also genuinely Regency in terms of their date of manufacture, something which is becoming increasingly difficult to find in today’s market where later 19th and early 20th century examples are far more commonplace.

As with all items which we offer for sale, this nest of tables has been inspected and attended to within our workshops by our highly skilled and trained antique furniture restorers, receiving a natural wax polish before being placed on sale, so as to ensure that it is presented in excellent condition and ready for immediate placement within the home.
