A 19th century boxwood viewing box which unscrews at the base for storage, and unscrews again futher up to put insects, flowers etc into for viewing. The top unscrews and has a magnifying glass, so that the insects, flowers etc can be examined.
A really interesting piece, for studying nature, very popular in the 19th century.
It measures 7.8cm h x 3.2cm w.
