Large Vintage French Muscular System Anatomy Poster, Framed

1920 - 1940
Description

A tall, original French anatomy poster titled "Muscles du Corps Humain – Face Postérieure," showing the posterior muscular system with detailed labeling and an inset of the knee joint. The sheet appears to be litho/letterpress printed on toned paper in red, black and cream, and bears the publisher’s imprint for Les Fils d'Émile Deyrolle, Paris, together with plate number 302 at the upper right. The poster has been subsequently presented in a simple, later black-painted wooden frame and glazed, giving a clean, ready-to-hang presentation. Likely dating from the 1930s–40s, this is a classic piece of French educational/scientific design with the handsome, instructional graphics associated with Deyrolle school charts. Its narrow, vertical format works well in a study, home office, library, hallway or medical interior. Condition: wear consistent with age and use. Paper with overall toning, scattered surface marks and staining. Please review images for a full sense of condition.

We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
