We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery, prominent from 1920 to 1935, is defined by geometric shapes, clean linear patterns, and symmetrical arrangements. It frequently combines bold coloured gemstones, such as aquamarines or sapphires, with white platinum and accent diamonds.

Art Deco pendants commonly feature platinum settings due to the metals strength and ability to hold intricate millegrain detail. Central gemstones are often step-cut beryls or quartz, flanked by round-cut diamond accents.

Authentic pieces generally display period platinum hallmarks, hand-applied millegrain edging, and precise hand-cut gemstone facets. The settings usually feature geometric gallery work rather than modern cast elements.

An Art Deco aquamarine pendant pairs effectively with neutral evening wear or structured contemporary tailoring, allowing the blue gemstone to serve as a focal point. It can be worn on a delicate platinum or white gold chain for a balanced composition.

Clean the setting using warm water, mild detergent, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust behind the gemstone facets. Avoid exposure to harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners, and store the pendant wrapped separately to prevent surface scratches.
