Brian MacDonald Antique Rugs & Carpets has dated this piece to the 1880s.
It has been well looked after and is in as great condition as when I sold it back then. The design on the knotted-pile face is unusual, comprising '8-pointed stars' within large stars.

Made around 1880 by Yomut tribes in the trans-Caspian Steppe area, the bag is complete with original tassels and braided hanging cords and is in excellent condition.
Size: 49 x 28cm (1' 7" x 11") excluding tassels.
