London City Antiques has dated this Edwardian Mahogany Display Cabinet to the 1900s.

The astragal glazed door displays an unusual geometric design, opening to reveal three adjustable shelves lined in the original decorative fabric. Designed to showcase fine porcelain, silver, glassware or treasured collections, display cabinets such as this were an essential feature of refined Edwardian drawing rooms and reception rooms.

The clean architectural lines combined with the restrained inlay and elegant proportions make this a versatile piece that works equally well in a traditional or contemporary interior. A particularly attractive example retaining its original charm and character.

Condition
Presented in good antique condition with minor age related wear, marks and imperfections consistent with age and use. The cabinet retains its original key and tassel and displays beautifully.
