White Space Antiques has dated these Antique French Childrens Armchairs to the 1890s.
After Nicolas-Quinibert Foliot (1706 - 1776), these carved walnut, beechwood caned, and leather seated fauteuils have wide, moulded, cartouche-shaped back with scrolled toprails centred by sprays of marguerites and leaves, with down-curved arms ending in pierced cabochons, leaves and petal- motifs at the handles, the serpentine-fronted caned seat centred by sprays of flowers and leaves repeating those on the toprails, raised on cabriole legs headed by single flower heads and ending in foliate-clad tapering feet.

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. Clearly very well taken care of.

From a Parisian apartment decorated by Daniel Pasgrimaud.
