A Nice Pair of Mappin & Webb Silver Plated Candlesticks with richly detailed decorative borders. Each candlestick has a tall, tapering column rising from a broad, scalloped base for a confident, stable stance. The rims, collars and bases are embellished with raised scrolling foliage and grapevine-style motifs. Both candlesticks are supplied with detachable sconce/drip pans, offering a neat practical detail for wax control. Marked for the renowned maker Mappin and Webb – circa 1920.
