A scarce, heavy and unusual example in fine condition of a Mid 19th Century Antique Victorian ''Pontypool Ware'' Japanned Tea-urn / Samovar in the ''High Victorian'' manner. The lid, with white opaline glass finial, fully marked, BENETFINK & CO 89 CHEAPSIDE LONDON, which mark was used Circa 1851 - 1866, the copper body, of amphora form, with satyr mask escutcheons, rising from a base of ornate architectural design, the brass spigot with white opaline glass button.
