Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Introduced during the mid-19th century, metal rocking chairs represented an innovation in furniture design, utilizing bent steel, brass, or iron frames to create smooth, ergonomic curves previously unachievable with timber alone.

These pieces typically feature curved straps of cold-rolled steel, brass, or wrought iron fastened with rivets, combined with button-tufted leather or velvet upholstery over horsehair padding.

Authentic examples often display heavy-gauge metal straps with hand-riveted joints, subtle natural patination on metal surfaces, original brass caps, and hand-tufted leather featuring age-appropriate creasing.

Pair the dark leather and metallic silhouette with modern minimalism, positioning the chair near a light source or alongside a simple side table to highlight its sculptural, industrial frame.

Condition the leather periodically with natural wax-based leather balm to prevent drying, and dust the metal frame using a soft microfibre cloth while avoiding abrasive chemical cleaners.
