Antique Regency Mahogany Tiered Corner Stand C.1820

Description

A fine Regency mahogany corner stand, with a graduated richly figured three-tier superstructure set over a bow-fronted shelf above a conforming frieze drawer, all raised on slender ring-turned columns above out-swept splayed legs united by a swept tripartite stretcher.

Offering a sculptural silhouette for the display of small art objects and curios, or equally useful as a practical stand in a reception hallway or drawing room, its compact footprint and refined neoclassical proportions work to elegantly maximise underutilised corner spaces.

Very good antique condition, with minor surface wear consistent with two centuries of use. Structurally sound and ready to place.
