Description

This antique multi hat case which is made of thick brown leather dates from the early 20th century and is by top hatter Lincoln Bennett & Co of London.

The beautiful case which has a wonderful patina has brass fittings, a brass lock, is nicely monogrammed J.E.W to the front, has leather inner straps and is embossed with the maker's details.

This well made leather hat case is a very nice quality piece that has the remains of travel labels from it's previous owner which make this case a fascinating and decorative piece.

An ideal case for storing your hats and with it's beautiful colour will look great in the home, shop display or photography / film prop. The front carrying handle is missing so cannot be carried.

Date: Early 20th century.

Maker: Lincoln Bennett.

Marked: Lincoln Bennett. London W. Embossed to the outside under the lid.

Dimensions: Width: 37 cm (14 1/2"). Depth: 29 cm (11 1/2"). Height: 22 cm (8 3/4").

Weight: 2.904 kg.

Condition: Good used antique condition with some age related wear. Some general wear to corners, marks, staining and spotting to the interior. The locking clasp works but we do not have the key. No carrying handle. Brass has not been cleaned/polished. Please see pictures.
