Description

A pretty Edwardian silver pendant and chain set with purple and white paste gems.

SIZE: The pendant is 3 x 5.5cm, the chain is approx 38cm (15 inches) long.

WEIGHT: 7.3g.

MATERIALS: Silver, paste gemstones.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None found, there is a mark which may be a stamp on the clasp but it's too worn to read. Tests as sterling silver.

CONDITION: In very good antique condition, with slight vestiges of gold plating on the back; two tiny pastes are vacant, the rest are all nice old single cuts with no obvious replacements. We have not overpolished so as to retain the lovely old patina but you could easily take it to a higher shine if desired.

ERA: Edwardian (c.1901-1914).
