Lee Hawkins Antiques & Interiors has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
A superb and highly impressive antique Jacobean Revival dining suite dating to circa 1910, comprising a substantial solid oak refectory dining table together with a matching set of eight dining chairs, including six side chairs and two armchairs.
The table is raised on magnificent carved bulbous legs united by traditional stretchers, whilst the frieze is decorated with finely carved detail throughout. The rich oak grain and warm colour have developed a wonderful character and patina over more than a century.

The accompanying chairs are equally impressive, featuring studded leather backs and seats, robust oak frames, and attractive carved supports. The pair of armchairs provide comfortable host seating at either end of the table, creating a striking formal dining arrangement.

At over 7 feet in length, the table comfortably seats eight people and is perfectly suited to a period home, country house, farmhouse kitchen, or grand dining room.
Well-preserved examples of complete dining suites from this period are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly with their matching chairs intact. As both a practical family dining set and a decorative investment piece, this suite offers timeless appeal and enduring value.
