An acclaimed 20th century French painter known for his landscapes and floral still lifes, from 1912 ?Baeschlin regularly exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais in Paris.
This is an utterly charming painting in the very attractive original gilded wood frame.
Small signs of damage to the bottom corners of the frame and a little of the beading along the inside top of the frame (as shown in the photos) are entirely commensurate with age (we think this does not detract in any way).
