Minerva Antiques Ltd has dated these Georgian Mahogany Chest Drawers to the 1850s.
The mahogany has a deep reddish-brown tone with visible grain, polished surface variation and age-related marks, giving the piece a well-established character without obscuring its useful proportions.
The drawer fronts are framed by fine moulded edges, with keyholes to each section and a simple moulded top above. The shaped bracket feet and low apron give the chest a grounded stance, while the multiple drawer sizes make it particularly useful for clothing, linens, documents or household storage.
