Minerva Antiques Ltd has dated these Georgian Mahogany Chest Drawers to the 1800s.
The mahogany has a deep reddish-brown tone with visible grain, polished surface variation and subtle wear consistent with age, giving the chest a quietly established character.
The drawers are framed by fine moulded edges, with pale timber interiors and traditional dovetail construction visible when open. A moulded top, plain side panels and shaped bracket feet keep the form restrained, while the original-style brass fittings add decorative detail without overwhelming the clean case design. Its modest scale makes it well suited to bedroom storage, a hallway, landing or sitting room, offering the usefulness of a classic antique chest of drawers within both traditional interiors and more layered schemes combining antique and 20th-century furniture.
