Loveday Antiques has dated this Louis Xv Mazarin Commode to the 18th Century.
French Circa 1710.
Constructed with thick cuts of tight burr elm dowelled to the carcass, the rectangular burr elm panelled top with a fruitwood banding, over three inverted breakfront drawers retaining their original handles and escutcheons, flanked by shaped front styles terminating on splay feet. The sides panelled with a shaped moulding.
Please note it is very rare to find a commode of this form being in burr elm.
In excellent condition and of extremely good colour and patination.
