The 8-day, precision fusee mechanism is marked G.B&E Ltd London' who later became the Elliot Clock Company. It is inscribed 7147. F.W. Elliott Ltd, based in Croydon, London, played a significant role in the British war effort during World War II, producing specialized clocks for the military, particularly the Royal Air Force along with aircraft parts.

The case back is stamped SM & Co 1939 and the AM mark for Air Ministry and a crown.
