Description

A pretty antique stick pin (or scarf pin/lapel pin/tie pin/cravat pin) in the form of a star-shaped flower topped with a gleaming white pearl. The enamelling of the flower is quite beautiful, painted by hand with graduated pink colouring and delicate veining radiating from the centre.

SIZE: 6.5 x 1.4cm.

WEIGHT: 1.7g.

MATERIALS: Gold, enamel, base metal pin.

HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None found. The gold tests as 14 carat (585).

CONDITION: Very good antique condition. The enamel is a little worn at the very edges when seen under magnification but there are no chips or cracks.

ERA: Estimated Art Nouveau/Jugendstil (c.1900-1915)
