19thc Street Lantern

A large (at nearly 4ft high ) 19thc English street lantern . Made by Primus , original glass and retaining its original post fixing and ladder rest where the street lighter would rest his ladder to light the gas as the night drew in .
 
Very decorative shape and fret design . Has now been converted to domestic electricity and can be wall mounted , post , wall or free standing or used as a porch lantern and is suitable for exterior and interior use .
