A Stunning and rare Gothic wall clock, of architectural proportions at over 3 ft in height and constructed very heavily from solid brass. The brass has been polished and lacquered and has a lovely clean and bright finish. It features a large ornamental brass bell hanging above the movement. The case is designed as a huge, elaborate, arched bracket from which the bell and movement hang. The pendulum is visible swinging below.

The large dial is enamel on copper and is complete with original blued steel hands.

The French movement has the Samuel Marti mark on the movement backplate. It is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses, there is some very minor wear and a very small bracket has been added to the top of the bell for some reason (hardly noticeable). The dial is also in excellent condition, no chips or scratches.
