This ALEXANDER LAUDER POTTERY BARNSTAPLE FISH WALL POCKET dates from circa 1890.

It is marked to the base LAUDER BARUM in incised script.

The modelling, colours and glaze are notably beautiful. The Fish is full of life.

The tips of the tail have old restoration. The line across the back is not damage, just a trail of slip.

Width: 6 inches (16 cm)
