A mid-19th-century transfer-printed Sunderland lustreware butter dish decorated with a transfer of the iconic Wear Bridge to one face and a religious verse to the other face. Monochrome flower transfers decoration to the lid.
The overall condition is good. The finish shows age-related wear and tear, and there is a repaired star crack on the print of the verse.
Other dishes shown are available separately.
