Gilt Brass Hexagonal Lantern

1900 - 1920
Description

A Gilt Brass Hexagonal Lantern.

With a leaf cast rose, holding the hanging loop, and from which sweep scrolling leaf decorated and chased arms, falling to meet spreading leaf brackets mounted to each corner. The six glazed panels enclosing the centre shank, falling to an orb, from which rise the three candle holders, one panel being the hinged door, opening with a fist baton catch. The lower corners finished with spreading leaf mounts.

Date circa 1900.

Height 22 inches, 56cm.

Width 14 inches, 35cm.

Depth 14 inches, 35cm.
