A fine quality Regency period rosewood card table dating from circa 1820, of elegant proportions and beautifully decorated with delicate boxwood and satinwood stringing throughout.The fold-over top opens to reveal the original green baize-lined playing surface, supported on a distinctive twin turned column pedestal. The table stands on elegant swept sabre legs terminating in finely cast brass acanthus-mounted sabots and original brass castors.The frieze is richly ornamented with inlaid decorative motifs and retains excellent colour and figure to the rosewood veneers.
