Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Rings from the late Victorian period often featured cluster or halo settings designed to accentuate a central coloured gemstone with surrounding old-cut diamonds. Craftsmanship of this era frequently combined yellow gold bands with silver-topped settings to maximise diamond brightness.

These rings were commonly crafted with 18-carat or 15-carat yellow gold bands, featuring gem-quality natural rubies and old mine or rose-cut diamonds. Settings for white stones were often layered with silver on top of gold prior to the widespread use of platinum.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit hand-cut gemstones such as old-mine diamonds, along with silver-topped gold settings and slight hand-carved variations on the shoulders. Markings, wear patterns consistent with age, and non-uniform gem faceting also indicate authenticity.

An antique cluster ring serves as a focal statement piece when worn alone on the hand or paired with minimal contemporary gold bands. Stacking it with sleek modern rings creates a contrast between historical metalwork and clean modern lines.

Clean gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, taking care around delicate silver-topped claws. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals, which can damage silver patina or compromise historic stone settings.
