with a swan neck pediment to the mahogany case. A central brass finial. Choice flame mahogany veneers to the case with an ebonised banding. A silvered scale to the thermometer box, hygrometer, main dial and level. A convex 'Butlers mirror'. A brass bezel with convex glass. Signed to the level ' Bernaschoni, Bruton' (Somerset). Circa 1840.
