A fine miniature Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester porcelain chamberstick, circa 1820.
The piece is decorated on a rich cobalt blue ground with finely executed gilt scrollwork and gadrooned gilded borders. The candle dish features a beautifully painted reserve depicting a colourful fancy bird in a landscape. The form has a central raised column candle holder and loop handle.
Marked to the underside in red script: Flight, Barr & Barr, Royal Porcelain Works, London House No. 1 Coventry Street.
An attractive and collectable example of early 19th-century Worcester porcelain, notable for its miniature scale, rich cobalt ground and fine gilded decoration.
