Corvidae Antique has dated this Victorian Pique Cross Brooch to the Victorian era.

SIZE: Approximately 6.8 x 3.4cm.
WEIGHT: 8.3g.
MATERIALS: Gold, silver, shell.
HALLMARKS/STAMPS: None.
CONDITION: The brooch has clearly been sturdily mended; from the front it's not very noticeable, there are glue marks at the back and also glue where the clasp has been attached - there is a drill hole at the top so it looks as though the piece may have long ago been converted to a brooch from a pendant. We've found no chips or cracks and all the tiny gold and silver wires are intact.
ERA: Early Victorian c.1860s.
