19th Century “Neopolitan” Figure

Description

So lucky to have another one of these wonderful figures. I understand it dates to the 19th century. It is a figure of a “Neopolitan” market seller. He has two baskets one full of flowers balanced on his head and the other full of vegetables. He has a bag of flower seeds in one hand . There has been fading to the contents of the baskets. The basket work is very fine as is the straw work on his hat. Original clothes, some wear commensurate with age have made no attempt to clean them up. Overall in very good condition. Probably not the original base.
