An Antique Five Tier Spice Tower - Great Finish

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Opus Antiques

This is a great example of a five tier spice tower with its lovely colour and original crusty surface, from the early 1800s.

This spice tower has obviously been well used, sitting in a kitchen and gaining the lovely patina from years of handling. It does still have its original labels or parts of them and I think they read from top to bottom, Mace, Cloves, Ginger, Pepper and Cinnamon. Note it is unusual to find Pepper on a spice tower, I have seen it only a few times.

The spice tower measures 23.5cm h x 9cm w.
