1960s Jaeger Lecoultre Atmos Clock

1940 - 1960
Description

A 1960's Jaeger - LeCoultre Atmos clock. A gilt brass case in good condition with side and top panels. An opening glass front and a transporting lock catch below the rotating disc. A caliber 526-5 JLC mechanism with 15 jewels. A chapter ring with arrowhead markers.

The Atmos clocks are perpetual and do not require winding. They use a hermetically sealed unit with bellows, similar to an aneroid barometer. It expands and contracts with minute temperature changes to power the clock. The clock comes with an original JLC information sheet.
